SlotSheet Volunteer Hours Report
Your volunteer-hours report, free, from the sign-up export you already have.
Drop in a sign-up export (CSV or .xlsx) with names and slot times. You match the columns once, so you can use exports from tools such as SignUpGenius, SignUp.com or Google Forms. SlotSheet adds up hours per volunteer and gives you a CSV and a printable summary for your PTA board or a grant application. No account, no upgrade, and your file never leaves your browser.

Match your columns
Pick which column holds each piece of information. Email and family/class are optional. We guessed from your column headings; check them, then make the report. Use either first + last name or one name column, and either start + end times, a time-range column, or an hours column.
Using the column matching you saved in this browser for files with these headings.
Volunteer hours report
Sample data: these are made-up volunteers, so you can see how the report works.
If no print dialog opened, use your browser's Print command (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P). Only the summary is printed (one page for most groups). To save it as a PDF, choose "Save as PDF" as the printer.
Printable summary: organization and title (optional)
By family / class
If your file has a family or class column, you'll also get hours per family or class (only for sign-ups that have one).
Rows we couldn't read
These rows are not counted. Fix them in your spreadsheet (or check the column matching and the day/month setting) and load the file again.
This report was made in your browser. Nothing was uploaded. Hours = end time minus start time for each sign-up, times the quantity (spots), or the value of an hours column if you matched one. End times before the start time count as overnight. Volunteers are grouped by name and email together.
How it works
1. Export your sign-ups
Download your sign-up list from the tool you use, such as SignUpGenius, SignUp.com, Google Forms or a spreadsheet, as a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file (older .xls files: save as CSV first). It needs volunteer names and slot start and end times.
2. Drop the file in and match the columns
Tell SlotSheet which column is the name, the date, the start time and the end time. It only takes a moment, and the file is read in your browser and never uploaded.
3. Get your report
See hours per volunteer, download a CSV, or print a clean summary for your board meeting or a grant application.
What you get
Hours per volunteer
Calculated from each slot's start and end time, totalled across every sign-up in your file.
CSV + printable summary
A spreadsheet for your records and a printable summary that's ready for the board.
Private by design
Your file is processed on your own device. We never see your volunteers' names.
Free, no account
No sign-up, no upgrade, no ads.
For context: SignUpGenius includes its Volunteer Hours report on its Gold and Platinum plans, and Gold is listed at $269.89/yr (source: SignUpGenius pricing PDF, https://www.signupgenius.com/pdfs/pricing-plans-printable.pdf, checked 19 Oct 2026).

PTA plan: an idea, not built yet
We're thinking about a plan for whole PTAs: multiple admins, officer handover, and a yearly archive. It doesn't exist yet and there's nothing to buy. If your PTA would use it, tap the button so we know whether to build it.

FAQ
Is my volunteers' data uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and processed by JavaScript in your browser tab. Close the tab and it's gone. We don't receive the file or its contents.
Which files work?
CSV or .xlsx sign-up exports that have volunteer names and slot times, either as start and end columns or as one time-range column like "9:00am-10:30am". You match the columns once, so you can use exports from tools such as SignUpGenius, SignUp.com or Google Forms, or your own spreadsheet. Older .xls files need saving as CSV or .xlsx first.
Does this need a paid SignUpGenius plan?
SlotSheet itself is free. You just need an export of your sign-ups that includes slot times. SignUpGenius's own Volunteer Hours report is on its Gold and Platinum plans.
How are hours counted?
End time minus start time for each sign-up, times the number of spots (quantity), totalled per person, or the value of an hours column if you matched one. Slots without times count as 0 hours, and the report tells you how many there were.
Are you affiliated with SignUpGenius?
No. SignUpGenius is a trademark of its owner. We don't connect to SignUpGenius; SlotSheet only reads a file you choose.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no ads, no card.
Does it remember anything?
Only how you matched the columns (which column is the name, the date and so on), saved in this browser so the next export with the same headings is quicker. No names or other values from your file are saved.
Feedback
SlotSheet is brand new and made by a small independent team. The hours report is free. If your export doesn't work, you can email us the column headings (not the data); it helps us decide which formats to support.
Your email app will open with a short prefilled message. Nothing is sent unless you press send.
